"Claddagh loft has exposed brick walls, hardwood floors and tall ceilings which gives this newly renovated 1200 sq. ft. loft a very spacious feel.
There is a private bedroom with a traditional queen bed, a second queen bed in the main room a fold down couch that opens into a full sized bed. There is a sectional couch that separates and can be slept on comfortably.
There is a full kitchen with gas stove & oven, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. There are dishes, silverware and glasses for 4 people.
The bathroom is new with a walk in shower and towels are provided.The space offers guests a truly authentic Detroit experience... but remember, THE BAR LOCATED DOWNSTAIRS CLOSES AT 2AM. THERE IS SOME SOUNDPROOFING, BUT DO NOT EXPECT THE SPACE TO BE COMPLETELY QUIET.
There is a lot of history in this 1914 structure, but it has all the amenities. The kitchen island was built from salvaged Detroitus, including the island top pieced from a demolished high school gym’s basketball court. Flooring throughout came from the historic Hudson’s department store that was imploded in 1998.
Claddagh harks back to the days when travelers stayed in the rooms above an inn or roadhouse. It can be rented as lodging by the night or week.
Claddagh is located at the east end of Detroit’s oldest neighborhood, Corktown. Downstairs is the Lager House, which is open daily. Kitchen till midnight.
Next door to the west, is the Brooklyn Street Local, a very nice local diner. Immediately to the east is the James Oliver Coffee, with real NY style boiled bagels. Within a 10-minute walk there are a number of restaurants and bars ranging from the original sports bar, Nemo’s, to the well-known Detroit rib joint Slows BBQ. The neighborhood also boasts the original sight of Tiger Stadium and the iconic Michigan Central Station.

"Premium Location and Loft near everything with 2 bedrooms and 3 beds plus a sectional couch. Large TV’s in every room including a 75” in the living room.
Plenty of Food, Bars and shopping a few steps from thee loft and MGM, Motor City and Greektown are all only a few minutes away as well. Plenty of Bikes and Scooters to rent in the area."
I have to say, if you have not scootered around downtown, it is a must do activity. My favorite way to see the riverwalk!
